Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX: British beast

May 15, 2025

This ultimate evolution of the iconic Speed Triple combines brute force with precision technology and sharp, aggressive design – ready for both track and road.

Sporty seating position

The RX is more than just a Speed Triple 1200 RS with extra bells and whistles. Sportier clip-ons and a reworked top yoke place you 69 mm lower and 52 mm further forward than on the RS. Footpegs have also been revised: 14.5 mm higher and 25.5 mm further back, giving a more circuitous stance and more control in tight corners.

Electronic suspension system

The RX is equipped with advanced Öhlins SmartEC3 semi-active suspension, including an electronic Öhlins steering damper. The system adjusts real-time to driving conditions via the Objective Based Tuning Interface (OBTi), accessible via the 5″ TFT screen. Whether you are braking, accelerating or hanging in a corner – the suspension thinks with you.

Soundtrack by Akrapovič

Standard only on the RX: an Akrapovič exhaust with titanium shell, carbon end cap and lasered logo. Not only good for looks, but also for performance and a deep, raw exhaust sound that makes every ride unforgettable.

Powerhouse under the tank

At the heart of the RX is the familiar 1,160cc three-cylinder from the 1200 RS, now even more refined and powerful than ever:

This means 3 hp and 3 Nm more, with even flatter power delivery. Thanks to technology from Triumph’s Moto2™ program, the bike is lighter, more compact and more durable.

Tight steering, sleek design

The aluminum frame and new lightweight wheels provide razor-sharp steering. The single-sided swingarm, saddle cover, bar-end mirrors and carbon front fender give the RX a muscular, speed-focused look.

The color scheme? Triumph Performance Yellow combined with Granite Grey graphics and white accents – a real eye-catcher. And note the subtle yellow detail on the rear wheel.

Smart electronics

In addition to five driving modes (Rain, Road, Sport, Track, Rider Custom) you get, among other things:

The new Emergency Deceleration Warning flashes the brake light when braking hard – extra safety in unexpected situations.

Light and agile

Despite its high-tech equipment, the RX remains nimble with a ride-on weight of just 199 kg. A lithium-ion battery contributes to the low weight, while the design is refined down to the smallest details – from the grooved crown plate to the beautifully finished subframe.

Availability and price

The Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX will be available from June 2025. The price is €24,395
