Suzuki GSX-R1000R 40th Anniversary Edition
Comeback with racing DNA
At the end of 2022, the GSX-R1000R disappeared from European price lists, despite its continued popularity worldwide. The return is no simple reintroduction: Suzuki has thoroughly reworked the bike, based in part on racing experience gained through the Yoshimura Suzuki Endurance Racing Team and Team SUZUKI CN Challenge.

The result is an updated powerplant that now meets the stringent Euro 5+ emissions standards, without compromising on performance.
Suzuki GSX-R1000R tightened up
The heart of the GSX-R1000R remains the familiar 999.8cc four-cylinder, but for the 2026 model year it has been tightened in several ways. For example, the throttle body has been enlarged, injectors and fuel pump have been revamped, and the compression ratio has been increased to 13.8:1. Together with a lighter lithium battery, this results in more powerful acceleration and sharper throttle response.

Electronic driving aids
Suzuki is also taking steps forward on the electronic front. The Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) has been further refined to include a lighter IMU, an updated Launch Control System and expanded setting options for traction control and ride assist systems. It is all geared toward maximum control, both on the track and on public roads.

Link to racing
Notable are the dry-carbon winglets fitted as standard. These provide additional downward pressure and contribute to greater stability at high speeds. The chassis and fairing design is explicitly inspired by racing, but at the same time remains accessible and usable for street use.
Three colorways ode to 40 years
The anniversary edition will be available in three distinctive color schemes, each with special 40th Anniversary badges and graphic references to Suzuki’s rich racing history. This gives the bike not only a technical, but also an emotional upgrade.

Price, delivery and warranty
The GSX-R1000R 40th Anniversary Edition is on the dealer order books as of now and has a starting price of 21,999 euros road-ready, including the high-end carbon winglets. First deliveries are expected in summer 2026. Suzuki underlines confidence in its flagship with a warranty program of up to as much as ten years, including roadside assistance.
