Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series remains extremely rare

Cadillac is building only 26 copies of this special edition. The brand is thus referring to the year in which an American automaker’s Formula 1 team appeared on the grid for the first time. The limited edition should give the model extra collector’s value.

Collector Series

According to Mark Reuss, president of General Motors, the CT5-V Blackwing is the basis for a model that links track and public roads. With the Collector Series, Cadillac aims to translate the technology and look of Formula 1 into a street-legal sports sedan. In doing so, each example is intended to be a striking collector’s item that marks Cadillac’s start in Formula One.

The car is based on the existing CT5-V Blackwing, but gets a custom look and technical upgrades. The design is inspired by the MAC-26 Formula One car and executed in a Midnight Stone Frost color scheme complemented by silver, gray and black accents. Formula 1 and FIA logos are featured in several places. The wheels are finished in Carbon Flash Metallic color.

With six-speed manual transmission!

Technically, the Collector Series also differs from the standard version. In cooperation with GM Motorsports, the compressor of the 6.2-liter V8 has been modified, resulting in an output of 504 kW (685 hp, normal 491 kW (668 hp)). The powerplant is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. In addition, the model features the Precision Package, which includes carbon-ceramic brakes and chassis modifications for better track performance. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires are also included.

Unique details

Inside, the sills say “Cadillac Formula 1” and the seats feature embossed F1 graphics. The six-speed manual transmission lever has a special F1 medallion. Under the hood, the supercharger cover features a CNC-milled F1 logo and a laser-etched FIA logo. Cadillac will begin production of the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series in mid-2026 and will sell it in the United States and Canada. Expect a price of more than $150,000.
