Ford Explorer in two variants

There are two powertrain configurations to choose from for the electric Ford Explorer: rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD). Both versions use a lithium-ion nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery.

fast charging

The Ford Explorer is capable of fast charging with powers up to 185 kW, which allows the battery to be charged in about 26 minutes from 10 to 80% is rechargeable. Drivers can access more than 600,000 charging stations with the FordPass app or via Plug & Charge technology within the BlueOval Charge Network throughout Europe. The network includes fast-charging stations from IONITY – a consortium of which Ford is one of the initiators – and Allegro, with which Ford today announced a partnership to introduce fast-charging stations at European Ford Dealers.

Performance at a glance
