This is now the most expensive car with a four-cylinder (€290,000!)

The ultimate evolution of the A110

The R Ultime is the superlative of the Alpine A110 R. Everything that was already sharp is now even sharper. The engine – a 1.8-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline – has been boosted to 345 hp, good for a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. That’s a tenth faster than the A110 R. Every detail, from the chassis to the aerodynamics, has been developed with one goal: the track.

Craftsmanship and high-tech

Alpine is building only 110 examples, each hand-assembled in Dieppe, the brand’s birthplace. Buyers can have their car fully customized through the Atelier Sur-Mesure program, in partnership with design house Poltrona Frau. Think unique colors, materials and finishes.

Special Edition: La Bleue

Within the 110 units comes an even more exclusive version: La Bleue. Only 15 customers will have the chance to order this version, with a hand-applied color gradient that references the French marque’s historic racing colors. Each one is a one-off, according to Alpine.

Lighter, faster, more extreme

The Ultime is more than an A110 with more power. It has a lot of extra spoiler work, even lower weight and a modified suspension, with Öhlins dampers. The hood and brakes are also completely new.

The price is firm

For the ultimate A110, you have to dig deep: it costs 290,500 euros. That makes it considerably more expensive than a Porsche 718 Spyder RS (259,000 euros). Still, all examples are likely to sell out quickly – after all, the A110 R Ultime marks the end of an era. It is the last Alpine with combustion engine before the brand goes all-electric. The first customers will receive their cars in early 2026.
