KGM Musso EV: what does this electric pickup have to offer?
Electric pickup of 5.16 meters
The KGM Musso EV was presented earlier in 2025 in South Korea and is now coming to the Netherlands. With a length of 5.16 meters, double cab and four doors, the Musso EV fits into the ranks of compact pickups such as the Ford Maverick, Hyundai Santa Cruz and Fiat Toro: models that are popular outside of Europe, but fail to gain a foothold here. The Musso EV tries to do otherwise, with electric propulsion as its trump card.
Unlike many other electric models, the KGM Musso EV is not an SUV or van, but a classic pickup with an open cargo box. As such, it targets users who want to drive electric without sacrificing usability and towing capacity.
Powertrain and battery KGM Musso EV
The KGM Musso EV comes standard with an 80.6 kWh battery pack (LFP). Combined with a 207 hp electric motor on the front axle, this provides a range of 420 kilometers (WLTP). Fast charging is possible with an output of up to 120 kW, which allows the battery pack to be charged to 80 percent in 36 minutes. An 11 kW on-board charger for charging at a regular AC charging point is standard.

High braked towing weight KGM Musso EV
What’s special: the KGM Musso EV is a true workhorse that can tow a trailer weighing up to 1,800 kg. In addition, the Musso EV has a maximum towing weight of 4,870 kg (both full trailer and full load). This makes this electric pickup therefore perfectly usable as a workhorse, although the load does affect the car’s actual range.
KGM also supplies a four-wheel drive (4WD) version with two electric motors. This so-called the “Musso EV Dual Motor” accelerates from 0-100 km/h in about eight seconds and, it says, gets an advanced 4×4 system for improved performance on both paved and unpaved roads.
Interior and infotainment KGM Musso EV
The interior of the Musso EV is largely copied from the KGM Torres EVX. You look out on a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an infotainment screen of also 12.3 inches. The dashboard design is functional and does not look very futuristic – something some users will actually appreciate. Notable for this segment: the rear seat is sliding, offering more flexibility for passengers or cargo space in the cabin.

Price and warranty KGM Musso EV
The starting price of the KGM Musso EV in the Netherlands is 43,990 euros (including VAT and BPM). This makes it one of the cheapest electric pickups on the market. This is mainly due to the fact that there are hardly any competitors. In this price range, the Musso EV is single-handedly creating a segment. The standard factory warranty is 7 years. KGM tops that with a 10-year or one million kilometer battery warranty – something you rarely see in the industry.
Delivery range KGM in the Netherlands
KGM currently supplies in the Netherlands the electric Torres EVX, a van variant thereof, and the classic internal combustion engine Rexton. The Musso EV expands this modest offering with a vehicle that fits into no other offering. Not an SUV, not a van, but an electric pickup with serious dimensions and practical features.

Availability KGM Musso EV
The KGM Musso EV will be available in the Netherlands from September 2025. This puts the brand well in time to cater to business drivers who still want to take advantage of the reduced additional tax rate for electric vehicles in 2025, or consumers looking for something different from a typical SUV.
The new Musso EV is available in four trims (Bronze, Platinum, Titanium and Blackline), with each trim available with 2WD or 4WD. A heat pump is standard, except in the Bronze trim. There, the heat pump is an option. There is a choice of six body colors: Grand White, Amazonia Green, Blazing Gold, Marble Grey, Ultra Marine and Space Black. Grand White is standard. All other colors have an additional cost of 850 euros.

Conclusion
The KGM Musso EV is not necessarily spectacular or radically innovative, but it does fill a void in the market. For people looking for a practical, electric pickup with a decent range, good towing capacity and a competitive price, KGM offers something that simply wasn’t there yet. Whether it will be a success depends on whether the Dutch are ready for an electric pickup – and whether they are willing to trust KGM as a relatively unknown brand. On the other hand: the former SsangYong has been producing pickups for 55 years. By the way, did you know that Musso stands for “rhino” in Korean?
