Hyundai Ioniq 3: electric ‘Aero Hatch’ with neat specs
All-electric hatchback
The Hyundai Ioniq 3 is an all-electric hatchback designed in Europe and produced at Hyundai Motor Türkiye’s plant in İzmit. According to Hyundai, the shape of the model maximizes interior space, increased headroom and added comfort for rear passengers. Hyundai produces the model on Hyundai Motor Group’s so-called Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) with 400-volt architecture. The platform also supports V2G, where the car becomes an extension of the electrical grid.
Hyundai Ioniq 3: two battery packs
Hyundai provides two battery packs, with an expected WLTP driving range of more than 344 kilometers for the Standard Range and more than 496 kilometers for the Ioniq 3 Long Range. The Standard Range has a 42.2 kWh battery, versus 61 kWh for the Long Range. The car can do AC charging with 11 kW 3-phase or DC fast charging. In the latter case, charging the battery from 10 to 80 percent takes about 30 minutes. A 22 kW on-board charger is optionally available.
The Ioniq 3 always has front-wheel drive. The electric motor delivers 99.5 kW (135 hp) or 107.8 kW (147 hp). Engine torque comes out to 250 Nm. The Standard Range sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.0 seconds. The Long Range needs 9.6 seconds to do so. Top speed is 165 km/h in all cases.

Eleven exterior colors
There is a choice of eleven exterior colors (Atlas White Solid, Phantom Black Pearl, Lumen Gray Pearl, Aurora Gray Pearl, Vibrant Blue Pearl, Ice Blue Pearl, Fierce Red Solid, Fierce Red Matte) and several interior themes, namely black, beige/gray, blue/gray or black with red accents (N Line). Rim options are available in sizes from 16- to 19-inch. Hyundai also offers an N Line variant with sporty design elements and exclusive accents. Hyundai does not rule out a high-performance N trim. The platform, the looks of the car and also the segment is well suited for an N.
Pleos Connect infotainment system
The Ioniq 3 is the first Hyundai model in Europe to feature the Pleos Connect infotainment system, based on Android Automotive OS (AAOS). This system consists of a 12.9-inch display or 14.6-inch display. The car also supports keyless entry via a smartphone or wearable. You can also put a checkmark behind things like Plug & Charge, an integrated EV route planner and the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function.

Interior Hyundai Ioniq 3
The interior of the Hyundai Ioniq 3 is designed according to the “Furnished Space” concept where elements are arranged like furniture to create a warm and intuitive living environment. A long wheelbase and flat floor provide generous legroom and headroom, while a large luggage compartment enhances daily convenience. The integrated Megabox provides additional, cleverly concealed storage space under the cargo floor.
Cloud-like dashboard design
Depending on the trim level, the Ioniq 3 offers amenities such as Relaxation Seats, heatable seats and textile materials inspired by natural landscapes and 1970s Italian furniture design, including recycled and biobased materials. A BOSE Premium Sound System, dual-zone automatic climate control and ambient LED lighting have also been considered. The cloud-like dashboard design was previously used in the Nexo hydrogen car.
Driving assistance systems Ioniq 3
The Ioniq 3 is equipped with the latest Hyundai Smart Sense driving assistance systems. Features include Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA2), Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA), Memory Reverse Assist (MRA), Surround View Monitor (SVM) and Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM), supported by seven standard airbags.
Prices will be announced by Hyundai later this year. As mentioned, the market launch will take place in the last quarter of 2026.
