For 2,000 euros, Kia removes the back seat from your EV3
For entrepreneurs
Are you an entrepreneur and looking for a compact electric commercial vehicle, but find a bus or pickup too big? Then Kia may have the solution for you. The EV3 Cargo is basically a regular EV3 – only without a back seat, but with a cleverly designed cargo area.

From family car to workhorse
Kia Netherlands developed the Cargo version together with Veth Automotive, a specialist in commercial vehicle conversions. Where the rear seat normally sits, there is now a 12-millimeter-thick wooden cargo floor with a steel raised edge and a luggage net at the B-pillar. Remarkably, the conversion kit is not permanent. Anyone who does want a family car again later can simply replace the seats. Moreover, the conversion kit fits not only new ones, but also stock and used EV3s.

605 kilometers
Technically, the EV3 Cargo remains the same as the passenger version. Under the floor is the same electric motor with 150 kW (204 hp) and 283 Nm of torque, powered by an 81.4 kWh battery. This gets it to 605 kilometers of driving range (WLTP). Charging is quick: from 10 to 80 percent in half an hour.

Four versions, ten-year warranty
Kia delivers the EV3 Cargo in four trims, from the Air to the GT-PlusLine. Prices start at 31,934 euros excluding VAT, including the basic kit from Veth Automotive. That kit – with cargo floor, steel rim and luggage net – costs 2,050 euros including installation. Those who want can expand with options such as lashing rails, a steel bulkhead or extra storage space. Like the passenger car, this commercial version has a 10-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty. The Cargo kit itself comes with a two-year warranty.
