This is what the new Renault Espace costs

April 14, 2023

The Espace is back

We had to gulp for a moment when the curtain was pulled back on the all-new Espace. We knew it was coming, but it still takes some getting used to: the Espace is now an SUV. Of course it is an SUV, because they are not crazy at Renault. For five generations – the first generation unveiled by Renault in 1983 – the Espace was perhaps Europe’s best-known MPV, but today no one is waiting for a Multi-Purpose Vehicle. The all-new Espace therefore goes through life higher on its legs from now on, but still offers space for seven people.

What does the new Renault Espace cost?

Renault is now sticking a price tag on the sixth-generation Espace. The new SUV comes from 46,830 euros. For that money, you get a techno version to take home. Renault equips this version with Adaptive Vision LED headlights, a 12-inch OpenR Link multimedia system with Google Automotive control system and a power tailgate. Seven seats are always standard in the Espace, while the five-seat version is optionally available at no extra cost. The Techno also features an “F1 Blade” in body color, window surrounds in gloss chrome and roof rails in satin aluminum. Standard equipment also includes 19-inch alloy wheels and interior trim made of recycled fabric.

Esprit Alpine

For the sportily dressed Esprit Alpine, the French are asking a minimum of 49,830 euros. This version can be recognized by its sporty appearance with a chessboard motif grille, an Alcantara interior with blue stitching and 20-inch alloy wheels. The Iconic is the top version and comes from 52,030 euros. According to Renault, this version is more focused on elegance and technology. It sits on 20-inch alloy wheels and the dashboard is adorned an insert of real ash wood. Inside, you will also encounter leather upholstery ‘Initiale Paris’ in gris sable, electrically adjustable and heatable front seats and a 3D Around View camera with Easy Park Assist.

200 hp

The Espace is available with only one powertrain: a 200-hp E-Tech full-hybrid powertrain consisting of a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine and two electric motors. The gasoline engine provides 130 horsepower and the electric motors take care of the rest. According to the French, the Espace E-Tech full-hybrid is capable of fully electric driving in city traffic up to 80% of the time. The new Espace will arrive at dealerships in October.
