These 40 new cars are coming to the Netherlands in 2026! – AutoRAI TV
New Renault Twingo
In 2026, among other things, we will be introduced to the new Renault Twingo. Of course, the connoisseur has already seen it: the new Twingo is very similar to the original. The new model is 100% electric and uses a 27.5 kWh LFP battery with 263 km range and an electric motor with 82 hp. The Twingo E-Tech electric also has a One Pedal function. In the Netherlands, the Twingo gets a starting price of 20,990 euros. The market launch is scheduled for early 2026.
Skoda Epiq
With the Skoda Epiq, Skoda presents a compact B-segment crossover with a length of 4.10 meters. It seats five occupants, has a luggage space of 475 liters and a range of up to 425 kilometers. The starting price of the future production model is expected to be below that of its internal combustion engine Škoda counterpart, the Kamiq, which should make the Epiq the most affordable electric car in Skoda’s growing range.

Volkswagen ID.Polo
The Volkswagen ID.Polo may well be a smash hit. The starting price starts at 24,990 euros for the Trend. That car will be available from mid-November 2026. You then get a 37 kWh battery with 300 kilometers of range, an electric motor with 116 hp and a DC fast charging capability of 90 kW. In September, the 52 kWh battery will debut with 135, 211 or – in the case of the ID.Polo GTI – 226 hp. The largest battery has 400 to 450 kilometers of range. Nice detail: note the retro-designed digital dashboard. How cool!
Cupra Raval
In April 2026, the Cupra Raval will debut. The little brother of the ID.Polo, among others. There will be several flavors, such as a Business First Edition or Performance First Edition with 450 kilometers of range and 210 horsepower. The top model is the Cupra Raval VZ Rebel with 400 kilometers of driving range, 226 hp and an electronic limited slip differential. Guide prices start at 25,990 euros.
Audi A2 E-Tron
The iconic Audi A2 is also getting a successor. What the car will be called is still entirely clear, but there is talk in the corridors of the Audi A2 e-tron. The car stands on the so-called MEB Entry platform. That makes the A2 a sister model to the Cupra Raval, Skoda Epiq and Volkswagen ID Polo you’ve just seen.

Alpine A390
Delivery of the Alpine A390 will begin in 2026. This completely new sport fastback will appear, among other things, as the A390 GTS with a system output of as much as 470 hp and an interior for five people. This is an SUV with a clear focus on driving pleasure.
Kia EV2
The EV2 will be Kia’s small electric urban SUV. It complements the EV3, EV4, EV5, EV6 and EV9. The Kia EV2 stands on the compact EV architecture derived from the well-known E-GMP platform. That means short charging times, efficient propulsion technology and enough space for a battery to make your daily drives effortless.
Kia K4
According to the brand, the new Kia K4 Hybrid represents an alternative for Kia drivers who do not yet want to switch to all-electric. Kia Netherlands will offer the K4 with two different electrified powertrains. The offering will begin in spring 2026 with a Mild Hybrid (MHEV) that combines an 85 kW (115 hp) 1.0 T-GDI gasoline engine with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. A full hybrid (HEV) will join the lineup in late 2026.
Kia Seltos
Another new Kia in 2026? Yes, of course! The Kia Seltos fills the space between the Niro and Sportage. Although Kia supplies several engine variants worldwide, the Dutch importer chooses a clear focus: the hybrid. It is expected to get around 200 hp and also V2L technology.

Smart Fortwo
Actually, we are now on offense, because the new Smart Fortwo is not called “Fortwo” at all. The brand opts for the name hashtag 2. We have such a suspicion that everyone will soon label it as the new Smart Fortwo. Anyway: this really will be a very compact and agile EV. Secretly, we are very curious.
Jeep Recon
The Jeep Recon is coming to the Netherlands in the fourth quarter of 2026: an all-electric SUV with off-road capabilities. The Jeep Recon is off-road ready, according to its builders, delivering 650 hp, 840 Nm of torque and an estimated all-electric range of up to 450 km/h, plus 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.7 seconds.

Porsche Cayenne
With the introduction of the all-electric Cayenne, Porsche is ushering in an entirely new era. The new Cayenne stands out especially from a technological standpoint. For example, the model can “charge wirelessly” via an induction pad. Also impressive are the following figures: up to 850 kW (1,156 hp) of power, acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, fast-charging capability of up to 400 kW and a range of up to 642 kilometers according to the WLTP test standard. This makes the new Cayenne the most powerful production Porsche of all time.

Honda Super N
A Honda to make you happy! And that goes for the new Honda Prelude, of course, but especially for the new Honda Super N that will debut in 2026: a 100% electric city car, based on the Japanese Honda N One. Especially for the European market, the model gets flared wheel arches, a wider track and sporty looks. More Honda news: we’ll also hear more of the Honda 0 Series in 2026, although delivery of that fastback and SUV won’t start until 2027.
Lexus ES
We stay in Japan for a while, because Lexus is sending the new ES to Europe this year. It comes as a hybrid or with an electric powertrain. It comes in two BEV flavors: the ES 350e with 77 kWh and as an ES 500e with 75 kWh. The ES 350e has front-wheel drive and an output of 165 kW (224 hp), while the ES 500e with all-wheel drive offers an output of 252 kW (343 hp). Lexus anticipates an electric range of up to 530 kilometers.

Sacrilege or interesting, the fact is that Ferrari is working on a 100% electric car aptly named Ferrari Elettrica. This will be a crossover with four electric motors, a system output of over 1,000 horsepower and an 880 Volt battery of no less than 122 kWh. This should allow the Ferrari to travel about 530 kilometers on a full charge of electricity. Performance then: from 0-100 in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 310 km/h.
BMW iX3
The new iX3 is not just a successor to the X3, but a new chapter for BMW. The numbers don’t lie. This first series model of the Neue Klasse offers a range of up to 805 km, can fast charge up to 400 kW – that’s 372 km of range in just 10 minutes of charging – and offers a new BMW Panoramic iDrive. The BMW iX3 50 xDrive with 469 hp and all-wheel drive kicks off. It will come to the Netherlands in spring 2026.
BMW 3 Series
The new BMW 3 Series builds on the technology of the iX3. Expect similar figures for this model as well. Also know that a new M3 is coming, which will then presumably be named i3 M. That one will have four electric motors, one per wheel. That will be a party number. By the way, BMW is also coming out with a new X5 and X7.
Leapmotor B03X
Leapmotor is on a roll. The brand is rapidly expanding its model lineup and the new B03X is likely to be its next success number, especially given its expected price of around 25,000 euros. The 4.2-meter-long, five-seat SUV offers up to 400 kilometers of driving range thanks to an LFP battery.

Leapmotor B05

In terms of size, it comes close to an Opel Astra (Electric) and Volkswagen Golf and ID.3, and thus Leapmotor is aiming at the heart of the European market. With its length of 4.43 meters and a wheelbase of 2.74 meters, in terms of size it is a typical “European” hatchback.

By the way, Hyundai is also coming out with a new Tucson that will adopt many features from the Santa Fe in terms of design. In any case, count on a plug-in hybrid, although a hybrid version also seems more than interesting.
Hyundai ‘Staria Electric’
Hyundai continues to unveil its largest electric model to date at the Brussels Motor Show in January. The car features the latest EV technology, including an advanced 800-volt charging system. We have only seen a teaser so far. That teaser reminds us of the Hyundai Staria. In other words, a Hyundai Staria Electric?
Hyundai NEXO
Hyundai will also enter the market in 2026 with the new NEXO: This hydrogen SUV has a completely new powertrain, a distinct design and an increased driving range to a whopping 826 kilometers. The latter was made possible by a more efficient hydrogen system and a larger usable tank volume: 6.69 kg. The new generation NEXO will be available from early 2026 starting at 72,495 euros.

BYD carries other brands in China, such as Denza and YangWang. Both brands are coming to Europe in 2026. That means we can get acquainted with the Denza Z9 GT as a kind of cheaper counterpart to the Porsche Taycan and with the YangWang U8 and U9. The latter is a genuine supercar whose top model produces as much as 3,000 horsepower.
KGM Actyon Hybrid
KGM – formerly known as SsangYong – will introduce the KGM Actyon Hybrid in 2026. This family SUV uses a Dual-Tech Hybrid system. This system combines a dedicated HEV hybrid block with a dual-motor e-DHT system. The model’s space is particularly striking: the luggage compartment has a capacity of 668 to as much as 1,440 liters. In China, Mazda carries the EZ-60, an electric SUV from the Changan Mazda Motor Corporation joint venture. The car will also come to Europe in far-European forms, but under the name Mazda CX-6e.
