Leapmotor B10 Hybrid EV just has a gasoline engine

January 9, 2026

Leapmotor B10 Hybrid EV follows after B10 EV

Following the introduction of the all-electric Leapmotor B10 at the end of 2025, Leapmotor is expanding the range with the Leapmotor B10 Hybrid EV. This new variant uses range-extender technology (REEV) and will be available for order in selected European markets starting Jan. 9. The starting price is 29,900 euros. It is not yet known whether this will also apply to the Netherlands.

With the arrival of the B10 Hybrid EV, Leapmotor is targeting motorists who want to drive electric but also value added flexibility for longer distances.

Range-extender technology as a basis

The Leapmotor B10 Hybrid EV uses the same REEV technology previously used in the Leapmotor C10. Propulsion consists of an all-electric motor, while a compact 1.5-liter gasoline engine serves solely as a generator to recharge the battery when needed. The wheels are always electrically driven.

The B10 Hybrid EV features an 18.8 kWh battery, good for an all-electric range of around 80 kilometers according to the WLTP standard (preliminary homologation data). Combined with the 50 kW generator, the total range reaches up to 900 kilometers. Four driving modes – EV+, EV, Fuel and Power+ – allow the driver to tailor energy use to the situation.
