Skoda turns Enyaq into camper with four sleeping places

July 26, 2022

Camping

Since the corona crisis, camping has been extra popular. Not only with a tent, but also caravans and motor homes are currently in short supply. Owners of a Skoda Enyaq will no longer have to deal with long delivery times for a caravan, folding trailer or motorhome. In fact, Skoda UK has created a camper version of the electric SUV. It is called the Skoda Enyaq iV 80 FestEVal – a reference to festival season – and is equipped with a “camping unit” from Czech camping brand Egoe and a rooftop tent.

Hotel room

The camping unit resembles an elongated box, which lies in the back of the Enyaq. Two people can sleep on that, because there are two mattresses on it. Extending the unit gives you access to a cooktop, a collapsible sink with faucet and hose, a small countertop for preparing meals and a few storage compartments for cutlery and utensils.

Roof top

On the roof, two people can also spend the night. You transform the roof box into a tent by unfolding it. The roof box also includes a ladder, which you can place against the Enyaq, so you can climb up. The tent is equipped with a lamp and a small fan that uses solar energy. The Skoda Enyaq iV 80 FestEVal won’t go into production, unfortunately, but should only demonstrate what’s possible with the big EV.
