Maasdijk Automotive

A bizarre sight: two examples of the Chiron side by side. And that just in the Netherlands! They are at Maasdijk Automotive, a company specializing in enthusiast cars. Stock during our visit included Ferraris, Mercedes-AMGs and Lamborghinis. Exclusive stuff, in other words. At the top of the food chain, the Chiron is not a supercar but a true hypercar. Whereas the dark blue Chiron was completely assembled by the owner himself, this is not the case with the other specimen. This one is for sale. The price tag is available upon request from Maasdijk Automotive.

Performance of the Bugatti Chiron

Why the Chiron can rightfully call itself a hypercar? Just look at its specifications. The Bugatti Chiron has an 8.0-liter W16 engine with an output of as much as 1,500 hp and 1,600 Nm. This allows the Chiron to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2.5 seconds and – with the right key – reaches a top speed of 420 km/h. The Chiron features numerous advanced technologies, such as an active rear spoiler that reduces drag and improves stability at high speeds.

Naked carbon

The compositions of these two Bugatti Chirons are fairly different. One is dark blue carbon and the other is blue with dark purple. This specification is similar to the Chiron’s introduction specification when it was presented at the Geneva Motor Show. The body of the Bugatti Chiron is standard carbon fiber, but in the dark blue variant, it is really visible. All the carbon patterns run to the center of the car, where all the lines converge.

World-class finishing

The interior of the Bugatti Chiron is truly breathtaking, a masterpiece. Every part of the interior was designed with the utmost precision and handcrafted by French automakers. The Chiron’s cockpit is made of the finest materials. The seats are upholstered in leather and the stitching is done by hand, giving the interior a luxurious look. A special detail of the carbon blue Chiron is that Bugatti’s model evolution is pictorially incorporated into the door panel. You’ll find the Type 37, Type 57, Veyron and the Chiron. The cockpit is finished in carbon fiber and polished aluminum, and the design is inspired by aviation.
