August 26, 2022

Opel Vivaro-e and Zafira-e

In 2020, Opel introduced its first electric bus: the Vivaro-e. This commercial bus is also available as a passenger version: the Zafira-E Life. This variant proves to be an excellent base for an RV. At the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, which takes place from August 26 to September 4, 2022, camper specialist Crosscamp will present a prototype of the electric Crosscamp Flex based on the Zafira-e Life.

Four berths

The substantially rebuilt electric Zafira-e is has everything on board that is needed during a journey. Practical equipment includes front seats that rotate 180 degrees, a kitchenette, a sink, a gas stove and built-in cabinets. There are also tanks for drinking and waste water. The rear bench seat is easily converted into a double bed and there are also two berths under the lifting roof. For example, the Crosscamp Flex can accommodate four people.

Range

In the bottom of the camper is a 75 kWh battery pack, good for a range of 322 kilometers. Charging can be done with 100 kW, which allows the battery to be at 80 percent in 48 minutes. To ensure there is enough power left over for driving, an additional 95 Ah battery on board provides electricity for lighting, a cooler and a USB connection for charging devices such as smartphones and cameras. In 2023, the first Zafira-e Life Crosscamp Flex will hit the road. A Crosscamp model with diesel engine is currently already available.
