June 6, 2024

Open Day

Opel will open its doors to the public at June 8 at 10:30 a.m. during the official ceremony with invited guests at the Adam Opel Haus. Visitors can then first take a look at the design exhibition in building N10. The journey through decades of design extends from the 1965 Experimental GT and pioneering Opel studies of the 1980s to innovative concepts from the more recent past such as the GT X Experimental, the sensational Manta GSE and the visionary
Opel Experimental
.

The pop-up exhibit in building N50, shrouded in different colors, also begins at 11:30 am. Here visitors can view exhibits from the first Opel – the Opel-Patentmotorwagen System Lutzmann – to bestsellers and legends such as the Opel Kapitän, GT, Manta and Calibra and even electric models like the Opel Ampera. During factory tours (starting at 1:30 p.m.) – taking place all afternoon behind the Adam Opel Haus – Opel will proudly present current Astra production at the Rüsselsheim location. In addition, the general public can see the all-new Opel Frontera and Opel Grandland, soon to be ordered, up close for the first time.

Corsa Rally

Around noon, Opel will start test drives in the
Opel Corsa Rally Electric
From the world’s first electric brand rally cup. A limited number of motorsports fans can sign up for a ride in the passenger seat in the parking lot behind the Adam Opel Haus.  Nearby, on another test track specially equipped by Opel, Opel is organizing test drives in the

Special Kids Corner

The youngest visitors will find plenty of entertainment in the “Kids Corner,” located in the immediate vicinity of the large catering area, also behind the Adam Opel Haus. There are plenty of other activities for young and old on the outdoor grounds.

An additional attraction is the area reserved exclusively for vintage Opel cars, opposite the Adam Opel Haus on the Rugbyring. Visitors and guests arriving in a vintage Opel vehicle with an H license plate can park their car in the “An der Feuerwache” parking lot. Thus, this area is gradually turning into an open-air pop-up exhibition of historic Opel models.

Register on location

Registration for the various activities can be done at the venue. Advance reservations are not possible.
