Leapmotor B05 gets impressive driving range

The Leapmotor B05 is a completely new model. In Brussels, Leapmotor released more technical data. With a length of 4.43 meters and a wheelbase of 2.74 meters, the B05 clearly positions itself at the heart of the European market. In terms of size and positioning, it comes close to models such as the Opel Astra Electric, Volkswagen Golf and Volkswagen ID.3.
Swift-Wing
The B05’s design stands out for its wide stance and striking lines. The car is 1,880 millimeters wide and looks low and dynamic. Frameless doors, slim integrated headlights and 19-inch “Swift-Wing” alloy wheels underscore its sporty character. Leapmotor offers the B05 in a range of eye-catching colors, including yellow, gray, metallic black, Starry Night Blue and Galaxy Silver.
67.1 kWh ProMax battery
On the technical front, Leapmotor promises solid performance. The B05 features launch control and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. Propulsion is provided by a 67.1 kWh ProMax battery, good for a range of up to 460 kilometers according to the WLTP standard. Fast charging is possible with power in excess of 170 kW, although these are still preliminary homologation values.
AI-controlled assistant
Leapmotor is also betting high on technology. The B05 introduces Leap OS 4.0 Plus, including an AI-powered assistant for connectivity and vehicle control. In addition, the model is equipped with seventeen Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) focused on safety and support while driving.
Cell-to-Chassis Technology
The interior is designed around comfort and space. Cell-to-Chassis technology creates a flat floor and extra legroom for all occupants. Notable is the panoramic glass roof, which Leapmotor says is the largest in its class. Heated seats upholstered in eco-leather, oval air vents and ambient lighting provide a modern and well-kept look. The center console offers wireless charging, cup holders and additional storage. The infotainment system consists of a central 14.6-inch high-definition screen paired with a 12-speaker audio system.
