BMW M4 CS: desirable sports coupe with 550 hp

May 13, 2024

BMW M4 CS with a whopping 550 hp

The 6-cylinder in-line gasoline engine in the BMW M4 CS is a particularly powerful version of the TwinPower Turbo engine developed specifically for the BMW M3 and BMW M4 models. The 3.0-liter engine produces 405 kW (550 hp), an increase of 15 kW (20 hp) over the BMW M4 Competition Coupe with xDrive. This is thanks to the revised M TwinPower Turbo technology. The main modification is an increased turbo pressure of the two mono-scroll turbochargers to 2.1 bar and some engine management modifications.

Maximum 650 Nm

The engine delivers its maximum torque of 650 Nm as early as 2,750 to 5,950 rpm. Maximum power is available at 6,250 rpm and the red line starts at 7,200 crankshaft revolutions. The new BMW M4 CS accelerates from 0 to 100 in just 3.4 seconds, while from 0 to 200 km/h takes just 11.1 seconds. The top speed of this special edition – which comes standard with the M Driver’s Pack – is electronically limited at 302 km/h.

M xDrive all-wheel drive

Power from the BMW M4 CS is transmitted to all four wheels via an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic. Thanks to M xDrive all-wheel drive, it is possible to drive with all-wheel drive or with rear-wheel drive. The Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) can be turned off completely. This gives experienced drivers an even more intense driving experience.

Wheels

The BMW M4 CS comes standard with M Compound disc brakes, with the calipers optionally finished in red or black. Optional are M Carbon ceramic brake discs with calipers in red or matte gold. Also standard are forged alloy M wheels in exclusive V-spoke styling – available with brake calipers in Gold Bronze or matte black.

Tires BMW M4 CS

The alloy wheels (19-inch front and 20-inch rear) come standard with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires (optional: Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R). With excellent grip and stability, they provide precise steering and optimal traction. The tires are sized 275/35 ZR19 at the front and 285/30 ZR20 at the rear. Customers who use their BMW M4 CS primarily on public roads can choose high-performance tires in the same size as an option at no extra cost.

Laserlight

The taillights of the BMW M4 CS have a powerful look and the Laserlight technology is recognizable by the fiberglass beams, which are illuminated by a laser diode. The result is an emphatic 3D effect. This technology was first seen on the BMW M4 CSL limited to 1,000 units and now also provides an exclusive sight for the BMW M4 CS.

Market launch BMW M4 CS

The BMW M4 CS will be produced along with the other BMW M4 models at the BMW Group plant in Dingolfing starting in July. Order books for this limited-edition model open in late May.
