Antwerp Concours 2022: an extensive photo report

September 12, 2022

Well, Antwerp Concours. The event does not yet enjoy the fame of, say, a Zoute Grand Prix. Antwerp Concours is smaller in scale, but sets the bar in terms of quality at an incredibly high level. Organizer Nicolas van Frausum has his hands full every year.

Work hard

“It was hard work again to get all the cars together, but we succeeded. We managed to get several interesting cars together again,” Nicolas says proudly in conversation with AutoRAI.nl.

75 years of Ferrari

He continues: “We have several categories this year, such as ‘adorable & affordable’, ‘sport & competition’, ‘style & luxury’ as well as an exciting theme of ‘BMW versus Mercedes-Benz’. Nevertheless, I am extra proud of the fact that during the 2022 edition we will be able to reflect on 75 years of Ferrari, 90 years of Auto Union and 50 years of Porsche 911 RS. Unfortunately, our event for the new 911 GT3 RS came just a little too early, but we did manage to get all the forefathers together. Now on to 2023, as that also promises to be another fun event. So spread the word and come to Wijnegem next year in September.”

Antwerp Concours 2022: from pre-war to modern supercars

The 2022 edition of Antwerp Concours took place on Sunday, September 11. Everyone who visits Antwerp Concours is passionate about cars. In the broadest sense of the word. Everyone gets their money’s worth, too. Young and old. For the youngsters, there are brand new supercars, such as the McLaren Artura, Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm and Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series. For the older folks, there are beautiful classics and even pre-war vehicles.

Themes

In honor of 75 years of Ferrari (1947-2022), there are magnificent Ferraris on display. Consider a Ferrari F40, Ferrari F50, a Ferrari 512 TR as well as a Ferrari Dino 206GT once acquired by Eric Clapton. Even the new Ferrari 296 GTB was present. Auto Union (1932-2022) and Porsche 911RS (1972-2022) were other desirable themes.

In any case, Antwerp Concours was again enjoyable. Even in the parking lot. You should never skip those, of course. Afterglow can be enjoyed in this extensive photo report. Also curious about the 2021 edition? Then also check out this photo report.
