From some brands and models you expect it: a good Euro NCAP score. Land Rover is one such brand. It builds big, sturdy cars that just keep going even after a hard landing and a few rollovers. Otherwise, check out this trailer from the latest James Bond film No Time To Fly Die.

Still, it’s nice to know that during a solid collision, passengers will also remain intact. To test that, the brand sent its cars to crash test specialist Euro NCAP. These, after the Range Rover, Discovery and Defender, have now also professionally put the Discovery Sport against the wall. Expectations were high, as the Discovery Sport debuted in 2014 with a five-star rating.

They can breathe a sigh of relief at Land Rover headquarters, because the Discovery Sport – like its brothers – again scores the maximum score in 2022, thanks in part to a host of new driver assistance systems and updated head restraints and second-row seatbelts.
