Triumph Speed Twin 900 sleeker and lighter
The Triumph Speed Twin 900 has been around for several years. For 2025, it has been given a major overhaul. The styling has been changed. The engine looks leaner and sleeker. It has also been lightened and the suspension has been fitted with new components, including a front fork and rear shock absorbers from the high-quality Marzocchi.
Triumph Speed Twin 900 user-friendly
The updated Speed Twin 900 caresses the pupils, especially if you choose it with the white tank and blue and orange striping. Classic meets modern style, that’s it. Pleasant is also the pricing. From 11,495 euros it is there and if you compare the equipment against it, that is quite an attractive price. You definitely get a nice steering, good looking and sounding engine for it. With only 216 kg ready to ride and a seat height of 780 mm, the Speed Twin 900 is also something for smaller riders.
The Speed Twin 900 has a new aluminum swingarm and piggy-back rear suspension combined with a narrower rear frame with a slimmer fender and compact taillight. Together, this provides dynamic handling and a sportier style, while keeping the classic look and appeal.
Smooth two-cylinder from Triumph Bonneville
The Speed Twin 900 features the same 900cc upright twin as the Triumph Bonneville. A smooth engine that delivers its maximum torque of 80 Nm as early as 3,800 rpm. The exhaust then produces a good-natured rumble that reminds you of the sound of the primordial version of the Bonneville, back then with a 650cc upright twin. The Speed Twin 900 produces a maximum output of 65 hp at 7,500 rpm. For A2 licence owners: there is also a 35 kW (48 hp) version tuned back.
The new Speed Twin 900 has three distinctive color options: Pure White colorway with bright blue and orange stripes on the tank, a moody Phantom Black tank with dark gray stripes and gold accents or a stylish Aluminum Silver version with a touch of red around the Triumph logo.
More leg room and also lower saddle
The seating position has been adjusted to be as natural as possible and now offers more leg room. The saddle has a new shape to complement the narrower rear frame. A low saddle is also available as an accessory that lowers the seat height by 20 mm, from 780 mm to 760 mm, without compromising comfort.
Driving modes, cornering ABS and traction control
The two driving modes “Road” and “Rain” help to match power delivery to road and weather conditions. In Rain mode, there is a softer throttle response. Also, the Twin Speed 900 now has incline-dependent optimized cornering ABS and traction control.
Display and connectivity
An LCD screen shows RPM, speed and acceleration, with an integrated TFT color screen for additional information, such as the selected riding mode. Optional features include heated grips and the Bluetooth connectivity module, which offers navigation and the ability to view and control phone calls and music from your phone. Cruise control is also now available as an accessory. On the side of the LCD there is a USB-C connector.
The revamped Triumph Speed Twin 900 comes at 11,495 euros. You can save up for a while, as it will not roll into showrooms at dealerships until February 2025.
