This new Audi SUV is coming in 2026, or is it?
Cooperation between Audi and SAIC
The AUDI E SUV concept builds on a collaboration between Audi and SAIC. In doing so, Audi brings its experience in vehicle development, while SAIC contributes with knowledge of China’s digital ecosystem. The technical basis is the jointly developed Advanced Digitized Platform (ADP). Within this platform, models will appear that complement the existing Audi offering in China. The first of these, the AUDI E5 Sportback, went on sale in September 2025.
hefty SUV
In terms of size, the E SUV concept clearly positions itself in the upper segment. With a length of 5,057 mm, a width of 2,042 mm and a wheelbase of 3,060 mm, it is a spacious SUV with an all-electric powertrain. Two electric motors, one on the front axle and one on the rear axle, together deliver 500 kW. Combined with quattro all-wheel drive, this results in acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in about five seconds.

109 kWh battery
The car is equipped with a 109 kWh battery, good for a driving range of more than 700 kilometers according to the Chinese CLTC measurement method. Thanks to the 800-volt architecture, energy can be recharged at a fast charging station in ten minutes for approximately 320 kilometers of driving range. With this, AUDI emphatically focuses on ease of use for long distances and intensive daily use.
AUDI 360 Driving Assist System
In terms of assistance systems, the E SUV concept is tailored to local conditions. The AUDI 360 Driving Assist System was developed with Chinese traffic situations in mind. The system supports the driver on highways, in heavy city traffic and when parking, with the aim of making driving clearer and calmer.
Especially for China
The design of the E SUV concept translates the AUDI design language developed specifically for China into the size of a large SUV. The design is clean and coherent, with short overhangs and a clear body structure. The surfaces are kept calm, while the wheel arches are emphatic. Notable are the continuous light signatures front and rear and the upright nose with vertically placed digital Matrix LED headlights within a black frame.
Production version in 2026
According to AUDI, this keeps the model recognizable within the family, but at the same time gives it a position of its own. The production version of the AUDI E SUV concept is scheduled for 2026 and will be the second model within the Chinese AUDI brand. The car will not come to Europe.
