New driver assistance systems for Suzuki Swift
Very much information Suzuki is not yet releasing about the model, except to say that it is equipped with a host of driver assistance systems, such as a collision prevention system (DSBSII), AHS and DMS. DSBSII is an abbreviation for Dual Sensor Brake Support II, while AHS stands for Adaptive High Beam System. Finally, DMS stands for Driver Monitoring System.
Hybrid powertrain
Suzuki talks about “a high-efficiency engine with a good balance between driving performance and fuel efficiency. The car will have a hybrid powertrain. The interior photos show a transmission lever that we are also familiar with from Toyota. So possibly the new Swift will get hybrid technology from Toyota. Furthermore, in the interior we detect two USB-C charging points, a partially digital instrument cluster and a hefty touchscreen with Suzuki’s new infotainment software and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Market launch of the model is expected to take place during 2024. The current generation Swift has been available in Europe since March 2017.
