This is how rich Max Verstappen is now

October 29, 2025

From debutant to multimillionaire

The four-time Formula One world champion is ranked 264 in the latest edition of the business magazine, with an estimated wealth of 260 million euros. And that at 28 years old. This keeps him the youngest member of the entire Quote 500 list. Verstappen made his debut in the Quote 500 in 2022, then as number 500 with assets of “only” 120 million euros. Since then it went fast: 150 million in 2023, 210 million in 2024 and now already 260 million euros. In three years, his estimated assets grew by more than 100 percent.

Thick contract

That’s not surprising: Max has a mega-contract at Red Bull Racing that runs until 2028, good for an estimated 40 to 60 million euros a year, not including bonuses and sponsorship income. Add to that collaborations with brands such as EA Sports, Viaplay and Jumbo, and it’s clear: the money tap remains open for the time being.

The youngest and only athlete

What makes Verstappen extra special is that he is the only athlete in the Quote 500. Footballers like Virgil van Dijk and Frenkie de Jong earn millions per year, but do not come close to the required lower limit of 140 million euros. While other drivers invest in real estate or clothing brands, Verstappen seems to stay focused primarily on what has made him rich: racing.

Still far from Heineken level

The absolute top of the Quote 500 remains out of reach for now. At the top again is Charlene de Carvalho-Heineken with staggering assets of 12.3 billion euros. Real estate billionaire Remon Vos (7 billion) and Luxaflex founder Ralph Sonnenberg (7 billion) are also riding in a different financial class. But if Verstappen keeps up his current pace, it is not inconceivable that in ten years he will be competing in the top 100.
