Motorcycles from FN and Sarolea

Stany Wouters owns an extraordinary collection of historic motorcycles, mostly Belgian-made from 1900 to 1930, with brands such as FN and Sarolea. Some bikes still date back to the early years of the twentieth century, when these gun factories also produced motorcycles in peacetime.

Everything is roadworthy!

All the ones in his possession are roadworthy and are actually used, including during rallies. He does all the maintenance himself and also restores some of his motorcycles, using only original parts. That Stany is a true connoisseur is evident when he is handed a very old cylinder by an old friend. “Oh, I see, a side valve. That one is from a Gillet,” he says. “I’m going to fix that one up and it will always come in handy some day.”

True lover

Stany is a true enthusiast, as you can see when you browse through his wonderful collection. Displayed across two floors are ancient motorcycles. His unique Buick is beautifully parked in the corner of his barn. “I am a huge fan of old motorcycles, but also of modern cars. I recently got to pick up my new Porsche 911 Carrera4 GTS,” says Stany.

Private Museum

Enthusiasts can admire the collection at his private museum, but only after making an appointment. Nevertheless, an open day of the museum took place on Sunday, September 28. We took that moment to take a look at this unique collection.
