Suzuki introduces 10-year warranty on cars

Good for residual value

Up to 10 years or 200,000 kilometers of warranty is good news for customers: they benefit from additional extra security and – not very importantly – a higher residual value. As an additional service up to the tenth year, for both Suzuki cars and motorcycles, Suzuki Roadside Assistance is included throughout Europe. You also get a body warranty of 12 years with no mileage limit and a paint warranty of up to 3 years with no mileage limit.

Also retroactively!

Suzuki cars up to 10 years old – provided they meet the conditions – automatically fall within the new up to 10-year warranty program. For Suzuki motorcycles and outboard engines, the up to 10-year warranty program applies to models delivered from Jan. 1, 2023. Again, if the conditions are met. Within the conditions, there is also an option for vehicles and outboard motors to join the up to 10-year warranty program if they have not been serviced by a Suzuki dealer.

From 6 years 10 years warranty

Until now, all new Suzuki models were covered by a 6-year warranty period: 3 years of factory warranty, supplemented by 3 years of warranty from Suzuki Netherlands. This warranty period will now be up to 10 years for all Suzuki products. Starting from the third year, the warranty can be extended annually up to a maximum of 10 years. The extension is simple: after every service at an official Suzuki (Service) dealer, one year of additional warranty will be granted, provided that the maintenance has been performed according to factory specifications, any defects have been repaired and original parts have been used.

These brands also have a 10-year warranty

Suzuki adds itself to the limited list of automakers with 10-year factory warranties. Currently these include Toyota, Lexus, Kia, KGM and, as of now, Suzuki.

Your Suzuki qualifies if:

• The 3-year manufacturer’s warranty and additional 3-year warranty has expired.
• The car is less than 10 years old (as of first delivery date).
• The mileage is less than 200,000 km.
• Maintenance was performed according to factory specifications at an official Suzuki repair shop.
• Any defects were remedied in advance.
• The car was delivered within Europe.
• The car is not registered in the name of a car sales or repair company.
• The car has not been used for racing, emergency response or extreme loading.
• The Suzuki Service Card was issued after servicing.

What is and isn’t covered under up to 10-year warranty?

Your warranties include:

• Mechanical, electrical and electronic defects due to manufacturing or assembly errors.
• EV drive battery (up to 10 years, provided annual battery health check is performed).
• Full functionality as expected based on current vehicle technology.
• Repair or replacement of defective parts within conditions.
• Reimbursement for defects abroad, subject to prior coordination and conditions.

Among other things, what is not covered by the warranty:

• Wear parts such as brakes, filters, spark plugs, batteries, fluids, tires, shock absorbers.
• Aesthetic damage such as discoloration, corrosion, cracks, rattles or squeaks.
• Defects due to misuse, tuning, overloading or non-original parts.
• Damage due to natural phenomena, collisions or previous repairs.
• Multimedia systems and accessories, unless completely defective due to manufacturing defect.
