Subaru Europe introduces three new BEVs: Solterra, Uncharted and E-Outback
Subaru Solterra
Three years after its debut as Subaru’s first electric SUV, Subaru introduces the updated Subaru Solterra based on the redesigned Toyota bZ4X. Like the Toyota, the model is more powerful and smarter. The highlights.
- Performance upgrade: dual electric motors deliver 252 kW (338 hp). Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds.
- Greater driving range: more efficient drivetrain and larger 73.1 kWh battery provide more than 500 km driving range (WLTP).
- Faster charging: from 10 to 80% in just 30 minutes at -10°C, thanks to battery conditioning and optional 22 kW AC charger.
- Improved towing weight: now 1,500 kg.
- Design update: streamlined nose, new interior design, smarter 14-inch infotainment screen, additional camera systems.

Subaru Uncharted
In addition to the Solterra, Subaru is introducing the Uncharted, the brand’s first all-electric compact SUV. The car is designed for adventurers and sports performance enthusiasts. The base is the updated Toyota C-HR+. The highlights.
- AWD Dual Motor: 77 kWh battery (gross), 252 kW (338 hp), 470 km range (WLTP), 1,500 kg towing weight, 0-100 km/h in 5.0 seconds, turning radius of 5.5 meters.
- Long Range FWD: 77 kWh battery (gross), single engine, 585 km range.
- Entry-level model: single engine, FWD, 57.7 kWh battery (gross), 445 km range.
- Charging time: from 10 to 80% in 30 minutes at -10°C, thanks to battery conditioning. Standard with 22 kW on-board charger.
- Design & features: Purpose designed exterior, square steering wheel, dual wireless chargers, shift paddles, 14-inch infotainment screen, 210 mm ground clearance, dual X-MODE settings, Subaru tuned suspension and steering.

Subaru E-Outback
The new Subaru E-Outback is based on the new Toyota bZ4X Touring and inspired by thirty years of Subaru Outback heritage. The all-electric E-Outback is Subaru’s flagship electric model. The highlights.
- Performance: 74.7 kWh battery, 280 kW (375 hp), 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, driving range over 450 km (WLTP).
- Features: symmetrical AWD, 210 mm ground clearance, dual X-MODE, 1,500 kg towing weight.
- Safety: including Emergency Driving Stop, Secondary Collision Braking and systems inspired by EyeSight Driver Assist.
- Space: longer than the Solterra, larger luggage space, room for four large suitcases or a bench.
- Design: robust appearance, rear window wiper, roof rails, 18- or 20-inch alloy wheels.

When are these Subaru’s coming to market?
The Subaru Solterra MY2026 will be available by the end of 2025 in selected European countries. Sales of the Subaru Uncharted will start in the first quarter of 2026. The Subaru E-Outback will also hit the market in the first quarter of 2026, but pre-orders will start in selected countries as early as the fourth quarter of 2025. Whether these Subaru models will also come to the Netherlands is not yet known.
