RAV4 GR SPORT
Following the launch of GR SPORT variants of several Toyota models, including the Yaris, Yaris Cross, Corolla, C-HR and Hilux, Toyota is now also introducing a GR SPORT version of the RAV4. In line with previous GR SPORT models, the RAV4 GR SPORT also undergoes a series of unique exterior modifications. In addition, Toyota adjusted the suspension tuning. The new GR SPORT version of the RAV4 is offered with both Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid powertrains and comes standard with AWD-i intelligent all-wheel drive.
Sporty accents
The RAV4 GR SPORT is distinguished from other versions by its high-gloss black finish on the wheel arches, window moldings and the trim below the rear window. The unique character of the RAV4 GR SPORT is further enhanced by the GR-specific pattern in the grille and fog lamp housing. The car’s front spoiler immediately reveals which powertrain is hiding underneath: the Hybrid variant is marked by a dark silver front spoiler, while the Plug-in Hybrid variant features a front spoiler in dark gray “gunmetal gray. Like other GR SPORT versions, the front and rear of the RAV4 subtly displays the GR badge.
Eye for Detail
For the first time, Toyota is using alloy wheels finished with a new, high-precision line-cutting technique. The gloss black 19-inch wheels attract attention with their subtly bright “pinstripe,” which adds emphasis to the five-spoke design.
More sporty details
The interior of the RAV4 GR SPORT also reflects the sporty theme. Furnishings include sumptuous suede-effect upholstery and synthetic leather – both made from animal-friendly materials. The front seat headrests subtly feature integrated GR logos, while silver stitching provides contrast. This silver stitching is also applied to the steering wheel and gearshift. The sporty ambience is perfected with gunmetal details in the doors and on the steering wheel.
In addition, the RAV4 GR SPORT reaps the benefits of the RAV4’s model year update. The interior features a multimedia system with a 10.5-inch display and a customizable 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver. Safety and driving assistance features are also right up to date, with the latest generation of Toyota Safety Sense.
Dynamic driving behavior
It doesn’t just stop at sporty looks. The RAV4 GR SPORT gets further suspension improvements. New, stiffer springs and shock absorber settings give the RAV4 GR SPORT better handling and provide a dynamic driving experience.
Prices
Prices for the RAV4 GR SPORT start at 60,995 euros for the 163 kW / 222 hp RAV4 2.5 Hybrid AWD. As a top trim, the car is very richly equipped, including the special 19-inch alloy wheels, electric seat adjustment for both front seats, seat heating, steering wheel heating, LED projector headlights, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and a Panoramic View Monitor. As a 225 kW / 306 hp 2.5 Plug-in Hybrid, the RAV4 GR SPORT comes from 64,295 euros. The new RAV4 Hybrid GR SPORT and RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid GR SPORT are now available for order. This fall, the first ones will be in the Netherlands.
