Most economical manual car in the Netherlands?

Suzuki immediately makes a powerful statement: the new Suzuki Swift is the most fuel-efficient manual transmission car in the Netherlands. Immediately a small note: that only goes for the Comfort trim level with CO2 emissions of 98 grams per kilometer.

The powertrain of the new Suzuki Swift

Under the hood of every Suzuki Swift is a new Smart Hybrid 12V powertrain (SHVS). The system consists of an all-new atmospheric Z12E 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine with an output of 61 kW (81 hp) and 112 Nm of torque, complemented by electric motor of 2.2 kW and 60 Nm. The powertrain delivers up to 10% extra torque at lower revs. Shifting is done with a manual transmission or a CVT automatic. A special feature in the B-segment is that the Swift is also available with AllGrip all-wheel drive.

Versions Suzuki Swift

The new Suzuki Swift can be ordered in Comfort, Select and Style trims. The Comfort trim level is standard. Equipment includes the Suzuki Safety System Pro with things like Blind Spot Monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist. Other standard driving assistance systems include the rearview camera and rear parking sensors.

Suzuki Multimedia System

In the interior, the Suzuki Multimedia System with 9-inch screen including navigation stands out. This infotainment system can also wirelessly pair with Android Auto or Apple Carplay. The Suzuki Connect app allows users to stay connected to the car in real time. The Comfort also features LED headlights and taillights, manual air conditioning, Smart Entry & Start System and Pearl Metallic paint in the color Flame Orange. The Suzuki Swift Comfort is only available with manual transmission and starts at 21,695 euros.

Swift Select

The Suzuki Swift in Select trim level comes with 16-inch alloy wheels with 185/55R16 tires and privacy glass on top of the standard equipment. In the interior, the Suzuki Multimedia System is expanded to six speakers, the steering wheel is upholstered in leather and the seats trimmed with more luxurious fabric now have seat heating. Also, height adjustment for the driver’s seat is now standard. For the Select equipment level, the consumer price is 23,795 euros.

Swift Style

In addition to Climate Control being standard on the Style trim, it is the style elements in particular that catch the eye. For example, the dashboard, center console, steering wheel and front door panels now feature satin chrome accents. The 16-inch alloy wheels are painted and polished. The new Suzuki Swift comes as a Style starting at 25,345 euros. Both the Swift Select and Swift Style are available with a CVT automatic transmission at an additional cost of 2,350 euros. AllGrip all-wheel drive has an additional cost of 3,300 euros.

Colors new Suzuki Swift

The new Suzuki Swift is available in nine colors, including three new ones for Suzuki. New single-tone colors include Frontier Blue Pearl Metallic, Cool Yellow Metallic and Caravan Ivory Pearl Metallic. Suzuki also provides distinctive dual-tone paint finishes where the roof – depending on the color – is finished in Super Black Pearl or Mineral Gray Metallic. Burning Red Pearl Metallic and Frontier Blue Pearl Metallic colors consist of a three-layer coating. Flame Orange Pearl Metallic is standard for all versions.

Market launch Suzuki Swift 2024

The new Suzuki Swift is expected in showrooms at the beginning of the second quarter of 2024. Six years of manufacturer’s warranty is standard. Orders can be placed immediately.
