Seven equipment levels

The Lexus UX (Urban Explorer) is available in a total of seven trim levels that are always combined with the 2.0-liter hybrid powertrain with a combined output of 184 hp. The UX 250h has 2WD as standard, but the two top-of-the-line versions are available all-wheel drive.

New infotainment system

It was high time for Lexus to update the UX, as the model dates back to 2018. The model update includes a new infotainment system that is available with an 8- or 12-inch screen size depending on the trim level. The display is touch-sensitive, replacing the trackpad controls of the previous UX. In addition, the system can now be controlled by voice by saying “Hey Lexus.” According to Lexus, the system is smart enough to recognize the driver’s speech, so even with the radio on or in a noisy environment. Smartphone integration via Apple Carplay or Android Auto is standard on every UX 250h.

New version: F Sport Design

Available from 55,495 euros is the new F Sport Design version. This features a specially shaped grille, the motif of which recurs in various elements of the car. Furthermore, this version is characterized by sportier bumpers and 18-inch alloy wheels with a dark finish. Standard features on the F Sport Design trim include faux leather upholstery, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic air conditioning with Lexus’ Nanoe-X air quality system, rearview camera, automatic wipers, LED headlights with automatic high beam, chrome roof rails, black wheel arch moldings and Lexus “F” badges.

New colors

For the first time, the UX can be ordered in the color Sonic Platinum. The F SPORT Line and F SPORT Design models are available in six colors and can be combined with a black roof. For the interior, a Hazel color option is now available.

The redesigned Lexus UX 250h is available for order immediately. The crossover will be at Dutch dealers in the fall. Also nice: every Lexus these days comes with a 10-year warranty or 200,000 kilometers.
