Renault opens impressive flagship store on the Champs-Élysées

September 18, 2025

Historic site

Le Défilé Renault ® The Carwalk is located at number 53 Champs-Élysées in Paris. And Parisians have never seen another company logo hanging on the facade, because Renault has been located at this address for 115 years. Louis Renault, the brand’s founder, was the first car manufacturer to open a showroom here in 1910.

After all these years and multiple renovations, the building has now been completely renovated once again. None other than Franklin Azzi, the renowned French architect with a great track record, created an architectural masterpiece with a 185-square-meter glass facade with no visual barriers and a spectacular interior that not only serves as a car showroom.

170-meter-long carwalk

Renault’s flagship store with an area of over 2,260 m² is, in its own words, a place that combines innovation, culture and mobility while reflecting Renault’s innovation. Le Défilé Renault ® The Carwalk is mainly characterized inside by the carwalk: the 170-meter spiral ramp on which Renault’s models are displayed.

The track has a gradient of less than 4% and is fully accessible, including for the disabled. Surrounding the carwalk are the official Renault merchandise store, a café-restaurant including terrace, the Place des Libertés VIP area and spaces for events, among others.

Visual spectacle

Inside the building – suspended from the top floor overlooking the Champs-Élysées – two large steel “diamonds” move through space. Every hour they come together to form the Renault logo in a visual spectacle. The wall design with geometric diamond shapes is also visually consistent with the Renault logo.

Versatile and multifunctional

Le Défilé Renault ® The Carwalk is intended to be a lively place where Renault’s models are placed in a broader cultural context. The space can be transformed from car showroom to exhibition space, stage or debate center with room for a large audience, even though the brand’s historic models and concept cars are always on display.

With the opening of Le Défilé Renault ® The Carwalk, Renault is strengthening its role as an industrial and cultural player on the famous Parisian boulevard. The opening program will kick off with MAISON4, a pop-up store entirely dedicated to the new Renault 4 E-Tech electric. So remember it when you go to Paris sometime. Le Défilé Renault ® The Carwalk is definitely worth a visit.
