New option for Polestar 2 is quite striking

Clear improvement in speed

The Snapdragon processor provides a marked improvement in speed, response time and overall user experience of the infotainment system. With the more powerful architecture, the central display responds faster to touches, menus load noticeably more smoothly and creates more space for current and future applications within the infotainment system. This keeps the Polestar 2 current and ready for further digital developments.

What does that cost?

This upgrade is now available for all Polestar 2 models from model year 2021 through model year 2025. The existing processor will be replaced with the new Snapdragon processor and then fully equipped with the appropriate software. The price of the new Qualcomm Snapdragon processor is 939.95 euros. This product is intended exclusively for cars from the Dutch and Belgian markets. Please also take into account possible mounting costs and software costs.

What about Volvo?

Volvo uses the same outdated Intel X86 processor in its models. It is not yet known whether Volvo will offer this new Snapdragon processor as an option for drivers of a Volvo XC40 or C40, for example. Only the future will tell.
