Striking appearance
The new Nissan Micra is in no way comparable to its predecessor. The previous generation was a rather anonymous car, but this one immediately stands out in the street scene. This is mainly due to its round LED lights front and rear, striking 18-inch wheels and appealing colors. It is available in Pure White, Elegant Silver, Mystery Black, Noble Marine, Authentic Blue and Rebel Red. Depending on the trim, two-tone color combinations are also available with a black or gray roof.

Stylish and digital interior
Inside, the Nissan Micra keeps it uncluttered and stylish, with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster and ambient lighting in 48 colors. Notable is the use of Japanese details, such as a relief of Mount Fuji. Seat upholstery and interior themes come in three flavors: Modern, Audacious and Chill. The infotainment system has built-in Google features for things like navigation, audio and entertainment and easily connects to your phone. In addition, various functions of the car can be controlled and viewed with the NissanConnect app on your phone, such as battery status and remaining charge time.

Excellent foundation
The new Nissan Micra is a B-segment electric car. The model was developed in cooperation with alliance partner Renault and uses the same base as the Renault 5. That one has already proven itself to be a great car and was therefore also voted “Car of the Year 2025. So that bodes well for the Micra. Buyers can count on a five-door hatchback less than four meters long, which is easy to drive and park in heavy city traffic, but which also steers nicely through a curve and is sufficiently comfortable for long drives.

Important car for Nissan
The new Micra is an important car for Nissan in an important segment. Demand for compact and affordable electric cars is high, but competition is fierce. In addition, Nissan is in dire financial straits, so the Japanese brand could use some success. The Micra’s success will depend mainly on its price. We already have enough expensive cars in Europe. If the price is right, the Micra could well become a crowd pleaser, just like the Micra of the 1980s and 1990s.
Delivery of the new Nissan Micra will start around the end of 2025. This immediately kicks off a larger EV offensive, as the introduction of the Micra will be followed by the all-new Nissan Leaf and Nissan Juke, both also fully electric.
