Mercedes-AMG introduces exclusive ‘Formula 1 version’ SL
Limited model
The Mercedes-AMG SL63 Motorsport Collectors Edition has the same power output as the regular version of the SL63. So under the hood is the familiar 4.0-liter V8 BiTurbo, which provides a 0-100 sprint time of 4.2 seconds. The car has an output of 585 hp and 800 Nm of torque. The Germans are building only 100 copies. Buyers get some nice gadgets with it, such as a customized car cover.
Coloring
What immediately stands out about the limited edition model is the special paintwork. The car has a livery inspired by Lewis Hamilton and George Russell’s 2022 F1 car. It can be compared to the livery on the Mercedes-AMG GT Blackseries Project One Edition.
Carbon
The particular SL sits on 21-inch matte black wheels. This also incorporates the turquoise color of the team sponsor. In terms of hardware, the car also gets some minor modifications, such as a larger diffuser. The interior incorporates more cool details. In fact, the special Mercedes-AMG SL gets AMG Performance seats. Stitching is available in red or yellow, and there is plenty of carbon fiber in the interior.
Night package
The SL also has AMG’s Night package. This means that many different parts are in black. Among others, the splitter, mirror caps and exhaust pipes. Mercedes-AMG has not yet announced the price, but it will not be less than 300,000 euros.
