Mazda comes out with poopy Mazda 6

December 13, 2022

Mazda 6 since May 2002

The first-generation Mazda 6 entered the Japanese market in May 2002. Since then, the model has been an integral part of Mazda’s lineup. Whether that will continue in the future is not yet entirely certain. Indeed, the popularity of traditional sedans and estates in the D-segment has declined sharply.

Mazda 6 still alive and kicking

But it hasn’t reached that point yet. For now, the Mazda 6 is alive and well. In honor of 20 years of the Mazda 6, the brand is also immediately making some changes for the 6. Mazda promises improved driving performance, addition of new driver assistance features and convenience features to the model lineup, as well as updated Homura and Takumi trims.

Mazda 6 20th Anniversary Edition

The Mazda 6 20th Anniversary Edition features a Tan nappa leather interior paired with the body color Artisan Red. This optional body color is the fourth new color produced with Mazda’s proprietary paint technology Takuminuri. This Japanese term translates as “Artisan coloring. It is Mazda’s paint technology that reproduces a precise and high-quality paint finish as if crafted by the hands of an artisan. The new color Artisan Red is the fourth in the line of colors Soul Red Crystal, Machine Grey and Rhodium White. The other Takuminuri body color Rhodium White is standard on the Mazda6 20th Anniversary Edition.

Mazda 6 Sportive is now called Homura

The Mazda 6 Sportive is a thing of the past. In its place is the Homura. This version has black chrome signature wings front and rear, front bumper accents, exterior mirror caps and 19-inch alloy wheels in black metallic. The roof rails of the Mazda 6 Sportbreak variant– that’s the station wagon – is painted in black.

Mazda 6 Takumi

Then there is also a Mazda 6 Takumi special editon. The Takumi features exterior chrome accents and one of the highest quality seats with Nappa leather, genuine Japanese Sen wood and luxurious suede and aluminum trim. The seats are finished in black nappa leather. LED interior lighting, black headliner and high-quality dashboard trim make the Takumi party compelet.

The Mazda6 20th Anniversary Edition, Takumi and Homura come standard with a Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter gasoline engine.

Enhanced Technology

All models feature engine-controlled power steering innovations that improve response at medium and high speeds. In addition, the “Cruising & Traffic Support” driving assistance feature is new to the Mazda 6.

Cruising & Traffic Support

Cruising & Traffic Support is a system designed to help drivers operate the vehicle safely and reduce damage in the event of an accident and reduce driving fatigue. This system has its limitations, and depending on the road surface, weather conditions and other factors, it may not work. Cruising & Traffic Support is available as standard on all versions.

More features

The headway control and steering assist features help reduce driver fatigue during traffic jams or other times. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also standard on all versions. Wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay is available from the middle trim level and Qi wireless charging at the highest trim level.
