Jensen Interceptor gets new life – and yes, just with a V8
Retro design speaks volumes. Renault shows with the Renault 4, 5 and the Twingo that it is entirely justified to revert to old acquaintances in modern times. The Porsche 911, for that matter, has been doing this all its life, and if we look at the British, we see that Jaguar also took a gamble earlier with the move from the E-type to the F-type: not a copy, but a modern interpretation of a British sports car with history. Now Jensen is going to do the same – cool!
A new Interceptor, developed entirely from scratch
The Jensen Interceptor name is returning thanks to Jensen International Automotive (JIA). This is not a further development of an existing model, but a completely redesigned car.

Oldschool technology in a modern twist
Under the skin, Jensen opts for an aluminum chassis combined with a V8 engine. This is remarkable, because in a time when classics often return as electric models, Jensen deliberately opts for a completely “analog” driving experience.
Hand built in the United Kingdom
The new Interceptor will be built by hand in the United Kingdom and will appear in a limited edition. In doing so, Jensen is drawing on decades of experience within the automotive industry. In order to properly oversee the project, a separate division is even being created to focus entirely on the development of this new Grand Tourer.
A classic with a future
Whether the new Jensen Interceptor will soon evoke the same feeling as its legendary predecessor remains to be seen. But the fact that a British classic is given a future again, with respect for its origins and without losing its soul, already makes this initiative special.
