New Mazda 2?

With its length of 3.83 meters and a short wheelbase, the Vision X-Compact looks nice and agile. Its lines are sleek and fluid at the same time, and like the Vision X-Coupe – the other car Mazda unveiled in Tokyo – it lacks the traditional grille. In its place is a smooth front with illuminated accents and the subtly glowing Mazda logo. Minimalist, but with character.

A car that talks to you

Mazda says the Vision X-Compact wants to “deepen the bond between man and machine” through empathetic artificial intelligence. Or more simply, this car wants to become your friend. The AI can talk to you, suggest routes, sense the atmosphere or just shut up for a moment if you feel the need. In short: you are never really alone in the car.

Retro

Inside, no excess of screens or buttons. Indeed: no infotainment screen. Mazda deliberately chooses tranquility and simplicity: a round counter for the driver and a place for your smartphone. In short: retro, but in a modern way. Officially, Mazda says nothing about it, but the Vision X-Compact looks very much like a preview of the next Mazda2.
