iCar V27 coming to the Netherlands this year

April 24, 2026

iCar is a sub-brand of the Chinese concern Chery Automobile, known for Omoda Jaecoo, among others. This summer, Chery is also coming to the Netherlands under its own brand name with a series of hybrid SUVs, and now yet another newcomer has been announced. It is clear that Chery Automobile has big ambitions in Europe.

The first model to be introduced in the Netherlands is the iCar V27, an off-road vehicle with a design very reminiscent of that of the Toyota Land Cruiser. The V27 is almost five meters long and features REEV (Range-Extender Electric Vehicle) technology. Thereby, a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine acts as a generator for the electric powertrain.

The iCar V27 is expected to arrive in the Netherlands in the fourth quarter of 2026. More iCar models will follow later, all built on platforms from Chery that include connected features, intelligent driving assistance systems and AI-driven technology.
