Here it is: the Renault 5 every enthusiast secretly dreamed of

July 15, 2025

Renault 5 Williams?

What you see here is the Renault 5 Monte Carlo Edition: a homegrown creation that blatantly nods to the famous racing bombshell from the 1990s. The name “Williams” doesn’t appear anywhere, but the reference is unmistakable. Dark blue with gold wheels: the color scheme speaks volumes. The rims alone will make your heart beat faster if you have anything to do with Renault history.

Monte Carlo Edition

The Monte Carlo Edition is a Dutch creation. It is the result of a collaboration between dealer group Zeeuw & Zeeuw and the Dutch design house Re-Volve, which often gives good family cars and commercial vehicles a striking makeover. Only 25 units of this version will be built – a lot more exclusive than the Clio Williams, of which over 12,000 were produced.

Custom

The blue paint color just comes from the factory, but the gold 19-inch alloy wheels were developed specifically for this edition. The Monte Carlo striping on the flanks? You won’t find that in Renault’s configurator either.

Leather and alcantara

The interior also received a major upgrade. Black leather and alcantara on the seats, while the dashboard is also finished in leather and with gold stitching. All details that you will not find on Renault’s regular options list.

What does he cost?

Under the skin it remains familiar: the base is the Renault 5 Urban Range Techno with 40 kWh battery. Renault’s price list lists this variant for just under 28,000 euros. The Monte Carlo Edition costs 37,995 euros. A hefty surcharge, but then you drive a Renault 5 that attracts even more attention.
