Dutch dealers have confidence in Omoda and Jaecoo
Chances are you have never heard of Chinese car brands Omoda and Jaecoo, but in January more than 400 new models were collectively registered in our country. That’s more than any Chinese brand. The strong start to the new year will now be followed up with further expansion of the sales and service network in the Netherlands.
Omoda Jaecoo – two separate Chinese brands lumped together as a company – reports that 19 dealer partners have been appointed. Omoda and Jaecoo sales and service is already operational from 25 branches across the country. By the end of 2026, there should be at least 30. The pace at which Omoda Jaecoo has established a nationwide dealer network is impressive for a brand that did not officially launch in the Netherlands until September 2025. The most recent expansion includes five new locations: Auto Sturm in Goes, Mengelers in Heerlen, Spiering and Pluym in Delfgauw and Rotterdam, and Van Bruchum in Zwolle.
Interestingly, established dealerships with a solid regional reputation are committing to the new brand. This indicates confidence in the products and the long-term strategy of the organization behind Omoda and Jaecoo.
Part of Chery
Omoda and Jaecoo are not stand-alone start-ups, but part of the global Chery Group. This auto group is among the largest auto groups in China and operates in 120 countries worldwide. That background offers dealers and consumers additional security. The group has large-scale production capacity, development budgets and international experience.
Omoda 5 and 9
Omoda and Jaecoo’s offering in the Netherlands for now includes five models. The Omoda 5 is a mid-size SUV available as a hybrid (SHS) and with all-electric drive. Prices start at 29,590 euros. There is also an Omoda 9 SHS with a 395 kW (529 hp) strong plug-in hybrid powertrain and a price starting at 52,900 euros.
Jaecoo 5 and 7
Jaecoo is positioned higher than Omoda. The all-electric Jaecoo 5 EV and the Jaecoo 7 SHS are a bit more luxuriously equipped and have a slightly higher-end interior. Prices start at 31,590 and 37,900 euros, respectively, for the Jaecoo 5 and 7. All Omoda and Jaecoo models come with 7 years/150,000 km manufacturer’s warranty. The drive battery comes with 8 years/160,000 km coverage.
