Toyota GR Yaris is an icon!
Since the introduction of the GR Yaris in 2020, the model has quickly become an icon. In its first year, the GR Yaris won several major awards from automotive media, including “Hot Hatch of the Year” at TopGear and “Driver’s Car of 2021” at Autovisie. The GR Yaris won over the biggest car enthusiasts and was embraced as a ‘rally car for public roads’ and then fully personalized. Bigger rear spoilers, lightweight wheels, sticker sets, the GR Yaris was made entirely to taste.
Factory Tuning
As of now, owners of a GR Yaris with model years 2020 through 2023 have a new option for personalization: Factory Tuning. With Factory Tuning, engine torque increases from 360 Nm to 380 Nm, and customers can also choose from different settings for throttle response, electric power steering and all-wheel drive.
Three settings are:
- Rally: quick throttle response, light steering feel, 55:45 distribution of all-wheel drive
- B-Road: quick throttle response, heavy steering feel, 50:50 all-wheel drive distribution
- Race: medium throttle response, heavy steering feel, 45:55 distribution of all-wheel drive.
In addition to the three settings suggested by Toyota Gazoo Racing, customers can also have a personalized setting that includes a setting for throttle response, power steering and all-wheel drive. The settings will be loaded into the car by the Toyota dealer.
Guarantee
Even after applying Factory Tuning, the car’s factory warranty or additional warranty continues to apply. The Toyota GR Yaris – like any Toyota – is covered by up to ten years and up to 200,000 kilometers of warranty, as long as the car gets its service every year at an authorized Toyota dealer.
