Caterham Seven Miami Special Edition fits well in colorful Miami
Fresh color palette
The appearance of this special edition leaves little to the imagination and is instantly recognizable by the bespoke Aqua paint. This fresh color palette is combined with a decal package designed specifically for this model in Vibrant Pink and white. As icing on the cake, the rear of the car features the iconic Miami script and race track silhouette. This aesthetic is flawlessly carried through to the interior, where the Miami logo is embroidered into the headrests and a numbered plaque on the dashboard underlines the exclusivity of the specimen.
Atmospheric 2.0-liter Ford Duratec engine
Under the hood is pure engineering that is all about driving pleasure and performance. The Miami Special Edition is powered by an atmospheric 2.0-liter Ford Duratec engine that delivers 210 hp at 7,600 rpm. Thanks to the car’s extremely low weight, this results in an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 375 hp per ton. Coupled to a five-speed manual transmission, the Caterham shoots to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.8 seconds, with a top speed around 218 km/h.
Hand-built Seven model
The construction of each car remains an artisanal process. As is customary with hand-built Seven models, a second plaque in the engine bay contains the names and signatures of the two engineers who assembled the car at the British factory. Trevor Steel, Senior Vice President of Operations at Caterham, emphasizes that Miami has now become a global hub for elite motorsport and luxury car culture, making this the ideal location for the unveiling of this car.
Twelve pieces
For true collectors, the chance of getting a copy is small but present. Caterham is building only a total of twelve units of this edition, ten of which will be available for sale through its U.S. dealer network. The introduction of this model coincides with Caterham’s continued expansion in the United States, recently reinforced by the appointment of Walt Grace Vintage as a new dealer in Miami and a partnership with the exclusive Precision Drive Club.
