Ambulance in Utrecht stolen while helping patient

Chaos
Around 10 p.m., the police control room in Utrecht received a report that someone with an ambulance had created chaos in the center of Utrecht. The ambulance had caused several collisions. It soon became clear that they were not medical personnel, as the reckless driver was not wearing “recognizable clothing.
Stolen
The vehicle appeared to have been stolen from the Lange Nieuwstraat. There, ambulance workers were administering aid to a patient. Police quickly caught the perpetrator and are now investigating exactly what happened. Soon after the theft, a new ambulance was sent out, so the theft did not affect the patient.
