A50 between Arnhem and Apeldoorn closed for two weeks – Heavy traffic disruption expected

Starting August 5, the A50 between the Waterberg and Beekbergen interchanges will be completely closed for sixteen days. The 21-kilometer stretch is in need of major maintenance. The A50 northbound between Arnhem and Apeldoorn will receive new asphalt. In addition, Rijkswaterstaat is carrying out other work, such as marking, grouting, concrete repairs and replacing or renewing the guardrail.

When is the A50 closed?

The A50 in the direction of Apeldoorn will be closed from Friday, August 5, 8:00 pm to Monday, August 22, 5:00 am. From Friday 12 August 20.00 to Monday 15 August 06.00, the Arnhem-Noord junction (26) on the A12 will be closed to traffic coming from the direction of the Velperbroek/Germany junction. Traffic on the A50 between the Beekbergen junction and the Waterberg junction in the direction of Arnhem will not be affected by the work.

Detour

Traffic from Arnhem and Nijmegen in the direction of Apeldoorn will be diverted via the A12, A30 and A1. Road users in the direction of Twente or the Achterhoek drive via the A12 and A18/N18. Local traffic will be rerouted via yellow signs.
