Official 2023 Formula One calendar features as many as 24 races!

Formula 1 is more alive than ever, especially with the fantastic performance of Max Verstappen. He became world champion in 2021 and in 2022 Verstappen also has solid cards on the table to prolong his world championship title. But even before the 2022 F1 season ends, Formula One organizers are already looking to 2023.

Formula 1 has an unprecedented demand to host races and it is important that we find the right balance for the whole sport. We are very pleased with the strong momentum Formula 1 continues to experience and it’s great news that we can bring our passionate fans a mix of exciting new venues like Las Vegas to the championship with beloved venues in Europe, Asia. and the Americas.”
Growth and attraction
You read correctly, the Formula One circus is descending on Las Vegas. A Formula One race will take place there at night on Nov. 18. So something to look forward to. “The presence of 24 races on the FIA Formula One World Championship 2023 calendar is further evidence of the growth and appeal of the sport on a global scale,” stated FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem.
F1 2023 calendar highlighted
The first Formula One race of 2023 takes place on March 5 in Bahrain and the finish flag flies for the last time on November 26 in Abu Dhabi. Interestingly, China and Qatar are back on the calendar and Las Vegas makes its debut. The Formula One race at Zandvoort will take place on Aug. 27, 2023. The traditional “summer break” takes place again in August.

No worries about 24 Hours of Le Mans
The timing of the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans was also taken into account when drawing up the 2023 Formula One calendar. That race will take place on the weekend of June 11-13, 2023. And on that very weekend there is no Formula One race.
