The cooperation between kitesurfer Stig Hoefnagel and Jeep may seem surprising at first glance, but for those who know Stig, it is a logical choice.
As a professional kitesurfer, he often seeks out the most remote places to practice his sport.
Thanks to his new Jeep, he can effortlessly get to the most remote locations, whether a road leads there or not.

Jeep Compass 4xe

Stig chose the Jeep Compass 4xe, a plug-in hybrid SUV with enough room for his kitesurfing gear.
And as mentioned, the bolide allows him to go off the beaten path.
That’s because the Compass 4xe has all-wheel drive.
That’s exactly what Stig needs when he goes in search of kitesurfing spots that are hard to reach.

Plug hybrid

The Compass 4xe has not one but two engines: a 180-hp 1.3-liter gasoline engine under the hood and, on the rear axle, an electric motor good for 60 hp.
The gasoline engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and total power comes out to 240 hp.
Thanks to a more than 11 kWh battery pack, it can drive about 50 kilometers fully electric on a full battery before the gasoline engine takes over.
