Kia Picanto

In 2004, Kia entered the European compact car market with the Picanto. The car was built on a shortened version of the Hyundai Getz platform and also shared many parts with the Hyundai Atos. For the European market, the Picanto was extra decorated as standard compared to the Asian version of the car. The car proved to be a popular city cart, which was further enhanced by the second generation introduced in 2011.

The current

The current model has been in the showroom since 2017. Although the basic concept has remained the same, the car has taken some steps forward again and completely shaken off the snack bar jokes (almost). The car is well received. New is the GT-Line, a version with sporty decor.

Exclusive R-Sport

That may evoke memories of the R-Sport. That was a special version, which was presented in 2010 as a farewell model for the first generation Picanto. As the name suggests, the car was given sporty decorations, but that is not the most special thing about the model. The R-Sport was sold exclusively via the internet, through the eCollectionbyKia. Even more special is the edition of the model: only 130 pieces. This makes the Picanto R-Sport more exclusive than most supercars…
