Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio Super Sport comes in two flavors
Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio Super Sport
Both Quadrifoglio Super Sport models feature a 2.9-liter V6 engine with an output of 382 kW (520 hp). Alfa Romeo combines things with a mechanical limited slip differential with similar tuning to the Giulia GTA. This feature optimizes torque transfer and increases stability and maneuverability. To keep the weight down, the Italians use aluminum for the engine and carbon fiber for the transmission shaft, hood, spoilers and side skirts. The Giulia also has an active carbon fiber front splitter that controls airflow under the car to improve stability. An Akrapovic exhaust system is optional. Don’t hesitate, always do it.
New Quadrifoglio logo
On the occasion of the special Quadrifoglio Super Sport, the Alfa Romeo Centro Stile has worked on a reinterpretation of the Quadrifoglio logo. For the first time in the over 100-year history of the logo, the green four-leaf clover is on a black background instead of a white one, giving the iconic crest even more boldness and solidity.
Features Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio Super Sport
The Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Super Sport also feature the frequent use of carbon fiber, polished alloy wheels in 19-inch (Giulia) or 21-inch (Stelvio) and new black brake calipers. Both limited models are available in body colors (three-layer) Rosso Etna, (metallic) Nero Vulcano and Bianco Alfa (Giulia only). Buyers can also count on “3+3” headlights with new adaptive full-LED matrix lighting with anti-glare and adjustable high beam, for additional energy savings, improved visibility in darkness and less eye fatigue on long night drives.
Interior
In the interior, the special finish in red 3D carbon fiber debuts, seen on the dashboard, center tunnel and door panels. The headrests of the front seats are adorned with the “Super Sport” logo in red stitching and the production number of the limited model in black. The steering wheel is upholstered in leather and Alcantara with black stitching and carbon fiber accents. Furthermore, the instrument panel features a historic “telescopic” design and a 12.3-inch TFT digital display for access to all of the car’s data and ADAS settings.
Evolved, Relax and Heritage
In the Quadrifoglio Super Sport, in addition to the three settings available in the Alfa Romeo range – Evolved, Relax and Heritage – the exclusive “Race” configuration is also offered. In this mode, all essential information is brought together on the central display: the tachometer, speedometer and shift indicator for drivers who want to shift manually. The layout can be customized by placing additional information in the sidebars, including snapshots of performance.
Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 Super Sport in the Mille Miglia
In 1928, Alfa Romeo participated with six cars in the second edition of the Mille Miglia, better known as the “most beautiful race in the world. One of the models, an Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 Super Sport with the initials MMS (“Mille Miglia Speciale”), was driven by the duo of Giuseppe Campari and Giulio Ramponi. In the first part of the race, they left the threat of the three Bugattis behind. At the checkpoint in Rome, Campari and Ramponi took the lead which they did not relinquish, thus securing Alfa Romeo’s victory in the Mille Miglia. After the 1,621-kilometer marathon, only 40 of the 82 starters reached the finish line. For Alfa Romeo, it was the first in a series of eleven victories in the Mille Miglia, a record that would remain unmatched.
