The Rolls-Royce Dawn – introduced in 2015 – may be seen as the open variant of the Wraith, another popular model from Rolls-Royce. The Dawn was developed for “la dolce vita,” for people who want to enjoy the good life. That became a success. Like the Wraith, the Dawn also attracted younger buyers to Rolls-Royce.

Twinturbo V12

There was absolutely no shortage of power, as under the hood of the Dawn rests a 6.6-liter twinturbo V12 engine with 571 horsepower. The Dawn also offered the “magic carpet ride” characteristic of Rolls-Royce. That worked. An American journalist was driving through an area hit at the time by an earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale, followed by an aftershock of 2.7.
