Review – Dacia Duster Extreme (2023) – A Tough Metamorphosis
Dacia Extreme
All Dacia models are now available as Extreme versions: the Duster, Jogger, Spring and Sandero Stepway. With the new rugged equipment level, Dacia wants to emphasize that they are the brand for lovers of the outdoors and adventure. Technically, no things have changed about the models – except for the Spring – but they do have an extra adventurous look.
Duster
Thus, Dacia has made some adventurous changes on the Duster to transform it into a tough Extreme variant. First, there is a new body color: Cedar Green. High-gloss black accents have also been added, such as the shark fin antenna and black 17-inch alloy wheels. The roof rails and exterior mirror caps have copper-colored accents. A unique feature of the Duster Extreme is the striping in topographic design on the front doors, which resembles a cool “snorkel. We tell you more about these details in the video at the bottom of this article.
Inside
The interior of the Dacia Duster Extreme also features some tough updates. For example, a new upholstery fabric called “MicroCloud” has been applied to the door panels and seats. This fabric is not only hard-wearing and easy to clean, but also feels soft and pleasant to the touch. The Dacia Link logo is embossed in the front seat upholstery, which is a subtle but stylish addition. There are also rubber floor mats with a topographic design for both the front and rear rows of seats. The copper-colored finish on the door panels, vents and gearshift lever adds a touch of elegance to the Duster Extreme’s interior.
Luggage space Dacia Duster
The Duster Extreme’s luggage space is practical and spacious. With 478 liters of luggage space, the Duster offers plenty of room for all your weekly shopping or vacation luggage. Folding the rear seats forward creates a hefty 1,600 liters of storage space. In ECO-G version – formerly known as the Bi-fuel – an LPG tank is located under the floor instead of a spare tire. On the roof of the Extreme is roof rails that you can place across, so you always have roof racks with you.
Power
In terms of driving performance, the Dacia Duster Extreme offers several engine options. You can choose between engines with 100, 130 and 150 horsepower. Only the 150-horsepower version comes with an automatic. The ECO-G variant, which can run on both gasoline and LPG, is particularly interesting because of its more economical mileage costs. The ECO-G has a gas tank of about 50 liters, which combined with the 50-liter gasoline tank results in a range of more than 1,200 kilometers. This makes the Duster Extreme ECO-G the ideal economical mile-eater.
Safety
In terms of safety and infotainment features, the Dacia Duster Extreme offers good standard equipment. Standard you get ABS with stability and traction control, front airbags and curtain airbags. Also included are control buttons on the steering wheel, a trip computer, a radio with DAB, MP3, Bluetooth and a jack jack connection. With the more luxurious versions of the Duster Extreme, you get additional features such as cruise control, an 8-inch infotainment screen, a rearview camera, parking sensors and blind spot warning.

In conclusion, the Dacia Duster Extreme has undergone a successful metamorphosis. With its rugged exterior, comfortable interior and practical luggage space, the Duster Extreme offers everything you need for a great adventure. With various engine options and the interesting ECO-G LPG variant, there is something for everyone.
