The Lotus Eletre is the very first SUV from this famous British car brand. With the help of China’s Geely, Lotus is pushing hard to become a serious player in the EV market. The future of Lotus is electric. The current Emira is the last Lotus with a conventional internal combustion engine. So the helm is changing at Lotus.
Electric Premium Architecture
Lotus is building its Eletre on the Electric Premium Architecture platform, which will also be the basis for the other three EVs the manufacturer has announced and plans to bring to market around 2025. The Eletre’s battery pack has a capacity of 100 kWh, which should make a driving range of about 600 kilometers feasible.
Performance and fast charging
Thanks to 800-volt technology, fast charging is child’s play. Charging speeds of up to 350 kW are possible, adding some 400 kilometers of battery pack range in 20 minutes. AC charging is possible up to 22 kW. Thanks to a system output of 600 hp, the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 2.95 seconds, according to Lotus.

A starting price is not yet known, but there is talk in the corridors of 120,000 euros. Full pricing information and car specifications will be made available in the second half of 2022.

Cost of deposit
The down payment is 2,500 euros. Then you get a choice of engine, interior and exterior options. If you go through the whole process, you are guaranteed a production place at the factory in Wuhan, China. Lotus contacts buyers to go over delivery options, as home delivery is also available.
